Will Newmarket be the Best Place for Your Family in 4 Years?

Ample green space, safe neighbourhoods and a close-knit community were some of the reasons why my wife Becky and I decided to make Newmarket our home 40 years ago. We have raised our five children, seven grand-children and many foster children here; we have started our small business here in Ward 2; we have also connected and grown with the people in our community. Our family loves Newmarket for its big city convenience, outstanding town services, and high quality of life. However, like us, Newmarket is growing and changing every day.

I want to make sure that Newmarket will continue to be the best place for my family in the future.

Why I am Running for Council, Again

Municipal politics must be focused on actions that will lead to the betterment of our residents. After my 2 productive terms as Councillor between 2000 to 2010, I now feel it is important to offer to serve again as some of our Councillors simply do not provide the dedication and commitment needed to ensure Newmarket continues to be the one of the best places to live in Canada. Politics within our Council have digressed into personal issues and arguments, while it should be focused on making good decisions that will positively shape the future of Newmarket and the families that live here.

I ask for your trust and support once again, to be your family’s voice on Council to investigate problems, find solutions, and take actions that will make Newmarket better for all of us. I will be reliable and vigilant in pursuing your interests and using my previous experience in Council to ensure positive changes for you and your families.
